Cement Transloading Facility, Tennessee

Project Type: Cement Transloading Facility
Location: Tennessee
Capacities: 300 TPH

A large cement company needed a new transloading facility to receive cement from river barges and transport it to fill a storage dome. Rapat provided material handling equipment and support structures from the barge unloader to the storage dome. Due to the sensitive nature of cement, Rapat supplied completely enclosed conveyors to keep the dust contained and the outside elements out. There was also the challenge of overcoming difficult factors such as building a bend section to compensate for the elevation difference between the river and the bucket elevator inlet. The long conveyor also required a gravity take-up and an enclosure to contain dust with clean out doors.
