Rapat was hired to design and build new filter press unloading belts for a silica sand facility in Wisconsin. This material handling system, which included belt conveyors, impact loading cradles and wash boxes, required special considerations to accommodate the heavy, sticky sand. Rapat engineered the belts to run at slow speeds and deliver high capacities of sand. Rapat met the tight deadline to get the plant running quickly.
