As an international forest products company expanded two paper mills in the southeast U.S., it contracted Rapat to design new conveyors. Rapat’s engineers worked closely with the client’s project managers to develop the most efficient system for moving product within the space available. The material handling system included covered troughing roller conveyors and trussed span conveyors, both of which were hot-dip galvanized. Rapat also supplied transfer chutes, the support towers and catwalk, structural engineering analysis, and a final structural PE stamp for location of installation.
