Rapat was contracted to build a complete material handling system for a new decorative paver and retaining wall block plant. To get quick design approval on the project, Rapat provided 3D conveyor models based on the client’s engineering drawings. Then, Rapat constructed numerous belt conveyors, transfer chutes and support structures to receive aggregates from truck and rail, move them through the production process and handle the final product. The system featured belt scales to accurately convey specified amounts of raw ingredients for a given product. Rapat also made special considerations for keeping belts clean and minimizing spillage to avoid cross contamination of products being transferred on the same conveyor.
