A large manufacturer of commercial and residential roofing built a new shingle plant. Rapat supplied belt conveyors, transfer chutes and support structures to convey crushed granite. Because of space constraints, our engineers used 3D modeling to assure the equipment would fit ahead of time. Belt scales were installed
to monitor the amount of product being conveyed to the process machinery. Granite, being highly abrasive, meant proper wear liners needed to be installed to extend the life of transfer chutes. Also, various colors of the product traveled on the same conveyers, so suitable cleaners were a necessity.
